Upper School students gather every other Thursday morning in the cafetorium for Chapel. During the 45 minutes of Chapel, students join their voices in singing praise, join their hearts in prayer, and join their minds as they listen to the Word of God proclaimed. Chapel is an encouraging break from the normal daily routine at CCS.
During the year, the Upper School students enjoy a Spiritual Emphasis Week. This is a time to refocus our lives on the One thing that truly matters above all else. During Spiritual Emphasis Week a speaker will daily encourage the students, through an extended Chapel, to not live as “typical teenagers” but to live lives worthy of their calling in Christ Jesus.
We would love for you to join us for Chapel at 8:45 in the Cafetorium.
A quick note from Mr. Russell (Feb. 2015): The upper school collected $720.50 for Tiny Hands International during Spiritual Emphasis Week in January. Tiny Hands is a ministry that is committed to finding the greatest injustices in the world, and working towards relieving them however possible. In particular, Tiny Hands ministers to orphans, street children, and the victims of the sex-trafficking industry. Visit www.tinyhands.org for more information.
